Should we own our customer relationship manager or use a white-label platform?

It is a bigger decision than it looks. Some white-label platforms are repackaged versions of another company's product, which can leave you unsure where your data lives or how well it is protected. Your customers trust you with their name, address and zip code, and if that information is ever exposed, it is your name on it, not the platform's. Whether to own your customer relationship manager, rent one, or land somewhere in between depends on your size, your sales process and how much control over your data matters to you.
